Mr. Engel - Sexonomic Miracle
Engel was 8 at the end of WWII, fatherless and poor. Turbulent times and big social changes. A deeply troubled Germany in search of meaning, freedom, sexual freedom. While Germany was reconstructing the country, Engel was building a new kind of bordello. We get new insights into this hidden sex world We are deconstructing prejudices, thus critically questioning his then journey through strong, independent and lucid female voices. His last dream before dying was to create a museum gathering the ‘rare’ objects he collected for 40 years. The unbridled imagination and the creation of the museum joined into the combined healing of his disrupted German identity. PRESS PHOTOS
