The Guardians of Art
A rendezvous with four great museums from four countries: In the Uffizi (Florence), Prado (Madrid), Centre Pompidou (Paris) and Wallraf-Richartz-Museum (Cologne), the custodians open the doors to otherwise closed rooms and present their favourite works. The art supervisors discover stories outside the usual patterns of interpretation: art for everyone! An unusual and passionate approach to the otherwise very elite museums: Whether a former physiotherapist, archaeologist, priest or actor - their biographies offer a unique perspective on the works of art that they protect and with which they spend more time than anyone else.
